Rare Refined Agency is founded by Tionna Taite, a trailblazing law graduate, award-winning storyteller, and advocate for equity, influence, and legacy. Our mission is simple yet transformative: to help athletes, entertainers, and mission-driven leaders move with clarity in the present while building impact that endures.

About the Founder

Tionna’s journey reflects a rare balance of excellence, versatility, and vision. A Juris Doctor from The University of Alabama School of Law, she is a Nelson Mandela International Negotiations Champion, recipient of the Order of the Samaritan Award—the law school’s highest honor for service and leadership—and a White House Historical Association Next-Gen Leader.

Her dedication also earned her the Student Pro Bono Award, Dean’s Community Service Award, and recognition as Miss Black Alabama USA 2022. At the undergraduate level, she graduated summa cum laude in journalism and was honored with the William & Estan Bloom Premier Award (the University’s top honor), the Spirit of Alabama Award for Leadership & Community Service, and numerous accolades for academic and civic leadership.

Tionna is not only recognized for achievement but also for building platforms that last:

  • Nineteen Fifty-Six Magazine – Founder & Editor-in-Chief of the University’s first Black student-led magazine, raising $65,000+ and reaching 80,000+ readers, amplifying diverse voices in Alabama.

  • NIL Pro Bono Initiative – Founder of a pioneering program providing free support to underrepresented student-athletes navigating Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) opportunities.

  • Legal & Strategic Experience – With work spanning big law, entrepreneurship clinics, nonprofits, and media, she bridges worlds: from contract review and brand positioning to nonprofit advising and thought leadership.
